Hiy̓ám̓ Housing is the Squamish Nation’s non-profit housing society responsible for managing Sen̓áḵw’s 250 below-market units exclusively for Squamish People.

We can confirm 63 of these units will be available in Phase One, with occupancy starting in Spring 2026.

Our Property Manager for Sen̓áḵw, Fitrovia will manage these units in coordination with Hiy̓ám̓ Housing.

The details on the types of units available for Squamish People, including the number of studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom apartments, as well as move-in dates, will be available closer to occupancy.

We’re often asked how much the rent for the Squamish Nation units will be.

The short answer is that they have not yet been confirmed, as Hiy̓ám̓ Housing and the Nation are still pursuing additional funding to offer subsidies to help bring down the cost of housing for Squamish People further.

Additional rent details will be shared with the community closer to occupancy.

How to apply for the Hiy̓ám̓ -supported Housing at Sen̓áḵw:

As with all Hiy̓ám̓ Housing opportunities, an application package for Sen̓áḵw will be mailed to all Sḵwx̱wú7mesh households, shared via the Nation’s email list, published to Hiy̓ám̓’s website and posted on social media. There will be a single call-out issued for all three towers of Phase One, with move-in dates ranging from Spring 2026 to Fall 2026.
